Two Arrested On Theft Charges At Dothan Rite-Aid

On March 30, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a theft in progress at Rite Aid, located at 2721 West Main Street.

The suspects left before police arrived but were spotted a short distance away by an alert patrolman who conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle the suspects were driving. During the course of the investigative search, consent to search the vehicle was given by the owner Steven Peal. 

During the search officers located a small amount of methamphetamine, lithium batteries and Pseudo-ephedrine.  During the interview both suspects admitted they came to Dothan to obtain Pseudo-ephedrine and batteries, which were stolen from Rite Aid, for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine. 

 

     Steven Kelly Peal, white male, 26 years of age, of Alford, Florida was arrested and charged with Second Degree Manufacturing and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with bonds totaling $75,000.

 

     Susan Patricia Meredith, white female, 43 years of age, of Chipley, Florida was arrested and charged with Second Degree Manufacturing and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with bonds totaling $75,000.
