CeilingMax is a flush mounted system that’s perfect for converting your basement or garage into living space, or to simply hide cracks or other problems in any room. It can be mounted to open joists or an existing ceiling and can be obtained at most home repair centers.

TOOLS NEEDED:
    * Drill
    * Small square
    * Drywall screws
    * Tin snips
    * Ladder
    * Tape Measure
    * Utility knife
    * Chalk line

A computer wheel is offered to help determine the amount of material needed, just bring the room measurements. Always buy a little more than you think you’ll need. You can use either 2x2 or 2x4 tiles made by any manufacturer, allowing for a wide variety of colors and styles.

The unique flush mount system is much easier to install than hanging ceilings often seen in office buildings. Hanging systems require a lot of precision techniques that typically require professionals to install correctly. The flush mount system also allows easy access to pipes and wiring in the space above should a problem develop after installation. In the event of a water leak, replacing a few tiles is a lot easier than replacing sheet rock.

The system consists of 4 components: 3 eight-foot pieces called the Wall Bracket, the Runner and the Top Hanger; The forth component is the 2-foot Cross Tee, which provides self-measuring for the rest of the installation after the first row has been completed. Odd-shaped rooms can easily be accommodated by simply cutting down the border tiles to fit. It’s important to carefully plan this portion of the installation as an evenly spaced border is crucial for a professional finished look. The manufacturer provides easy-to-follow instructions complete with tips and tricks of the trade to help just about anyone do the installation.
