Routine Patrol Leads To Drug Arrest In Parking Lot Of Kinney Park

On March 12,
2011 while on routine patrol, a Dothan Police Officer stated he made
contact
with a suspicious vehicle that was in the parking lot of Kinney Park
(600 block of North Lena Street) with the engine running.
He stated the
vehicle was occupied by Shawn Woodley who said he was waiting on his
brother. Woodley admitted to police he had crack
cocaine in the vehicle. A police K-9 was used to confirm the drivers’
admission and the K-9 alerted on the odor of a narcotics.
Police
recovered the cocaine and called a narcotic investigator to the scene.
Woodley was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession
of a Controlled Substance.
· Shawn Woodley, black male, 32 years of age, of North Lena Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $15,000 bond.
