Ronnie Gilley will remain in jail until his June hearing after US District Judge Myron Thompson ruled that he would uphold a previous decision to have Gilley locked up for violations of his bond agreement.

Gilley was charged with 10 other defendants in a vote buying scheme for legislation that would benefit electronic bingo in Alabama.

Thompson ruled on the issue Thursday afternoon. His ruling state that while he couldn't determine that Gilley was attempting to bribe lobbyist Jarrod Massey, he only had to determine that probable cause existed. He stated that he felt that probable cause did exist.

Gilley is currently being held in the Montgomery City Jail. An original trial date of April has been pushed back to the first week of June at this time.
