The Tri-State Barbecue Festival  is a month away. This year's festival will be extended for two days. The festival will run April 8th through April 9th at the Houston County Farm Center.

Also at this year's festival there will be helicopter rides, a concert, and a kids cook off.

Forrest Dilmore participates in the festival every year.

" I think it will be an exceptional contest this year because it has more activities for the general public. It has a " Kids- Que"  which is very popular," said Dilmore.

All the proceeds collected from Friday night's concert will benefit the Wiregrass 2-1-1 program.
