Acting on tips from concerned neighbors, deputies raided the home on Highway 43 Friday. The home owner, 42 year old William Ray Hines, was arrested in Washington County, Virginia Sunday. We're told he was there due to his job as a long-haul truck driver.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver, the investigation began after Hines reportedly made threats involving explosives to people in the community. The FBI, ATF and state and local Fire Marshals were brought in to help clear the scene.
Officials in Virginia say they expect Hines to be sent back to Alabama on Tuesday.
He's facing 12 counts of possession and manufacturing of explosives devices.
