An aircraft made an emergency landing in Lee County and struck a vehicle along Alabama 14.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, a Cessna 182 had to make an emergency landing after losing power approximately 12 miles northwest of the Auburn Airport. The aircraft landed on Alabama 14 near 9802 Auburn Road and collided with a moving vehicle. There was one minor injury to a passenger in the vehicle. There were three occupants in the plane including the pilot.

The roadway was closed for at least four hours as the aircraft’s wings had to be removed prior to being towed from the scene on a flatbed wrecker.
