2011-2012 Alabama 4-H State Council

The 2011-2012 Alabama 4-H State Council was inducted in a special ceremony conducted during the 4-H Mid-Winter Teen Leadership Retreat held at the Alabama 4-H Youth Development Center in Columbiana on Sunday, February 13, 2011.  Sixteen remarkable teen 4-H’ers from across Alabama pledged their Heads, Hearts, Hands and Health to the betterment of Alabama 4-H throughout the course of the upcoming year.

Among the sixteen youth inducted, Darren Beachem from Bullock County will represent the Southeast Area as Vice-President.  The Alabama 4-H State Council is a prestigious leadership body, responsible for supporting the vision and mission of Alabama 4-H as well as supporting various local, county, regional and statewide programs and activities.  Youth who serve on the 4-H State Council are also responsible for assisting with an innovative and high-profile State Council Community Service Project as well as their major role of planning and implementing the 4-H Mid-Winter Teen Leadership Retreat.
