Birmingham Bill Says Expect More Cold Weather

By: Stephen Crews
Updated: February 2, 2011

Over the weekend, people in the Birmingham area got a taste of Spring.

Unfortunately, Birmingham Bill says they'll be more winter this year.

Before a crowd of children at the Birmingham Zoo, the groundhog woke from hibernation and walked outside just as the sun came out. He saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter.

It puts Bill at odds with Phil.

In Punxsutawney, Phil didn't see his shadow, which means he's predicting an earlier spring.
