By: Stephen Crews
Updated: January 10, 2011

Alabama Power is reporting few widespread power outages because of the winter storm.  The ice hasn't been too thick to cause many trees to snap and take down power lines.

Alabama Power reports 1,732 customers are out across the entire state.

In the Birmingham metro area, 132 customers are out, 162 are out in West Alabama, and 160 are out in Southeast Alabama.  Alabama Power has no reported outages in East Alabama.

Later in the day Alabama Power reported outages in Eufaula in East Alabama.
