Three Charged With Drive-by Murder Of Eclectic 6-Year-Old

Three men have been arrested and charged with capitol murder in the drive-by shooting death of 6-year-old Kenyatta Kendrick.

Kendrick was asleep in her bed when Aaron McDowell, Bernard Nix, and Stalandus Slaughter fired shots at her home on Nichols Avenue in Eclectic.

One bullet hit the sleeping child in her back and killed her.

Her uncle, asleep in another room was hit twice-once in the thigh and once in the foot.

The three men are also charged with assault for his injuries.

They are currently being held without bond for the murder charge.

This case is still under investigation and officials say more arrests are possible.
