As of noon tomorrow Florida will have a new governor.
Rick Scott will take office as the 45th governor amid inauguration day activities in Tallahassee.
His events start at Florida A & M University and will go well into the evening with parties and the inaugural ball.
Scott was in Panama City last week. Tomorrow will be a long day starting with a prayer breakfast at 8
a.m. the swearing in will last until 12:30 or so, and will precede the
governor’s luncheon. He plans on discussing jobs with all branches of
government.
After lunch it’s off to the parade and then the governor’s mansion
open house before the inaugural ball, which will start at 7. Scott’s
been talking about bringing business to Florida to boost the state
economy. In fact…his luncheon will continue his campaign theme of ‘let’s
get to work’.
This is what he said last week “…I know this community wants to grow,
so what I’ve told people is I’m going to travel the country, travel the
world, talking to companies about moving here, I’ll try to work with
homegrown companies the same way.”
