Okaloosa County Officials Investigating Drowning Of Two-Year-Old

Deputies are investigating an apparent drowning death of a two-year-old.

Emergency personnel were called to a home on Massachusetts Avenue in Fort Walton Beach just before 1 p.m. Saturday, according to a press release from the Okaloosa County Sheriff�s Office.

The boy was given CPR at the scene and taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, but did not survive.

�The initial indications are that it was just a tragic accident,� said Michele Nicholson, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff�s Office.

Nicholson declined to release any additional details on the incident, but said more information should be available after the autopsy is complete.
