Graceville Man Arrested For Armed Burglary In Holmes County

A 35 year-old Graceville man was arrested for several charges after a disturbance over the weekend.

On 11-20-2010 Holmes County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call in the Esto community.  Jerry Ray Bodie Jr was at the residence threatening to shoot the occupants.  Bodie left prior to the Deputies arrival.  Later that day, Bodie returned to the residence armed with a large knife.  Bodie was again threatening the occupants and tried to force his way into the residence.  Bodie again left prior to the Deputies arrival.

Later, while interviewing another witness at a nearby store, Deputies located Bodie.  Bodie exited his vehicle and tried to hide a large knife and bottle of liquor.  While searching his vehicle, Deputies located marijuana and paraphernalia.

Bodie was charged with Armed Trespass, Attempted Burglary, Driving while license suspended, revoked or cancelled, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams and Possession of drug paraphernalia.  Bodie remains in the Holmes County Jail on a $23,500.00 bond.
