A popular park and lodge in Jackson County is getting greener.

A fifteen hundred dollar donation from The Pepsi Foundation will pay for the planting of new trees at Citizens Lodge Park.

Park members say the trees--one day--- will provide much needed shade for visitors.

Not to mention the environmental benefits.

And the park--located near Marianna--is also helping go green in other ways.

Including recycling.

Parks and Recycling Director Chuck Hatcher said, "With the plastic containers that most of the drinks come in to now.  We were trying to get those recycled and just plant something back for the environment."

Buffalo Rock helps sponsor national Pepsi Refresh Projects.

It's an effort to give back to the communities it serves.
