The first charge has been filed related to a police involved shooting last week.

Dothan Police have charged 28-year old Michael Ray Tuner with possession of a controlled substance. Police tell us Turner was in the vehicle when Ashley Wright was shot and killed by Dothan Police during a drug operation July 22nd.

Turner was injured when Wright's vehicle struck a tree as he fled. Turner was released from the hospital Tuesday-- that's when police arrested him.

Police say charges are pending against another man who was in the vehicle the night of the shooting. They also say more charges are possible against Turner.

Two officers were injured when Wright struck them with his vehicle. They say he appeared to reach for a gun, which prompted the shooting.
