Solar Vents

Power Ventilation (use of motorized fans systems) during the hot part of the day reduces the pressure (heat) buildup, and in fact, creates a slight negative pressure that allows soffit vents to work effectively. The solar panel is non-breakable, shade tolerant, and operates even in low light conditions. Each cell has an interconnecting diode to protect against shadowing and shade. Solder connections are metal to metal and sealed for weather tightness. The panel contains materials that can withstand hail, wind stress and flexing of the fan unit. The DC motor is specially designed to operate at 1/3 of its capacity to provide many years of maintenance-free operation. Sealed bearings and direct wired brushes provide for high efficiency panel to motor electrical power transfer. The top and base are constructed of UV stabilized ABS plastic covered with a layer of acrylic material to prevent damage from direct sunlight. The design allows for substantial flexing with no cracking.
