Doris Anne Brockett

Doris Anne Brockett of Midland City passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010 with her family by her side. She was 81. Mrs. Brockett was born on August 8, 1928 in Midland City and lived there the early part of her life. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1954 and resided there for eleven years. She later moved back to Midland City and resided there for the remaining years of her life. Mrs. Brockett was employed with Montgomery Ward for several years prior to her retirement in 1992 and she was a member of Midland City Methodist Church. Mrs. Brockett was preceded in death by her husband Al Brockett and a son Alan Brockett. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Partin of Midland City; four sons, Greg Brockett and his wife Selena of Montgomery, Chris Brockett and his wife Danielle of Houston, TX, Brad Brockett and his wife Delana of Dothan and Brett Brockett and his wife Cyndi of Headland; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don Parker and his wife Phyllis and Doug Parker and his wife Twylia both of Midland City and Ben “B.W.” Parker of Houston, TX; her sister, Shirley Rose Dean of Katie, TX; several nieces and nephews also survive.
