A former Dothan attorney avoids jail time in the sentencing portion of his child pornography case.
Thursday afternoon Randy Brackin was sentenced to 13 months Community Corrections. The 63-year old was facing up to ten years on each of his 11 convictions of possessing child porn.
Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska told Circuit Judge PB Mcauchlin Brackin deserved time behind bars. Valeska, who would not comment citing pending charges, was visibly unhappy when the sentence was handed down.
Brackin is facing nine additional charges. No word on when those will be tried.
