Mother of Man Killed After Tazing Incident Sues Houston County Sheriff

The mother of a man who died after being tased has filed suit against Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes and the tasers manufacturer.

It was two years ago that 27-year old Nicholas Cody died after being tased three times as he ran from deputies. An autopsy later reveled Cody's death resulted from drug use and was not related to the tasing.

However the wrongful death lawsuit claims Sheriff Hughes should have trained his deputies that using a taser on people under the influence of drugs could prove fatal.
