Grover C. Jones, Jr. of Bellwood, AL passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the family residence. He was 73.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, April 9, 2010 at Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 until 8.
Mr. Jones was born April 16, 1936 in Chilton County, AL to the late Grover Curtis and Alma Glass Jones. He served in the US Air Force and was retired from Civil Service at Ft. Rucker. In addition to his parents, two daughters, Kandy and Linda Jones, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Everett Jones, Bellwood; 2 stepsons: Mickey Parrish, Dothan, AL, Scott Parrish (Kaye), Bellwood; 1 sister, Wanda Thrasher (Kenneth), Birmingham, AL; 5 grandchildren: Marcus Jones, Ashley Parrish, Shellie Parrish, Joshua Parrish, Jennifer Parrish; 2 nieces: Cindy Sealy (Michael), Amy Dimario (Nick).
The pall bearers will be friends of the family.
