Your Wiregrass Weather

February 8, 2010
Even though today was a beautiful start to the work week, we have more rain on the way (yes...more rain!) A frontal system is going to move through the area early tomorrow morning, bringing us some light rain. The good news is, we are only expecting less than half an inch of some light rain, and the severe weather will stay out of the area. The rain will clear out by the afternoon, making way for partly cloudy skies and colder temperatures. It is going to be blustery tomorrow night with winds gusting up to 20 mph, and temperatures will drop to the lower 30's.
Temperatures will remain colder through the work week, with highs in the upper 40's/lower 50's and overnight lows will be in the lower 30's.
A second frontal system will push through the region on Friday. Temperatures will be colder with highs in the 40's and overnight lows in the 30's. Depending on the timing of this frontal system, there could be some snow flurries in central Alabama.
Have a great day!
